Development Of Single Point Mooring For Crude Oils

HOWE has set up its first SPM (single point mooring) at Mundra in Kutch for Mundra Port. This SPM is located at a depth of 32 m; it can accommodate VLCC (very large crude carriers) of upto 360,000 DWT (dead weight tonnage) to berth at the port.

It is designed for discharge rate of over 10000 CBM/hour. This SPM is connected to IOCL tank farms by subsea cement coated 48” pipeline (11,330 meters). This pipeline is onward connected to Panipat & Bhatinda for transportation of crude oil to refineries

Adani group delegated responsibility of project management consultancy to HOWE. The broad scope of HOWE includes from planning, engineering, estimation, commercial aspects, quality, construction supervision at site etc.
