Development Of Port Facility At Damankul Bay, Jaigarh

Location: Ratnagiri District of Maharashtra

Jaigarh, in Ratnagiri District of Maharashtra, is the site for a Greenfield Port being developed by JSW Infrastructure & Logistics Ltd. of JINDAL Group.

The port is planned taking advantage of the lee of the projected headland with additional projections by means of a breakwater.

Seven berths with a total quay length of 2050 m and a back-up area of 34 Hectares have been planned to provide modern facilities for

• Bulk Terminal for Coal import
• Container Terminal
• Multipurpose Cargo Handling
• Petrochemicals and other Liquids

HOWE has been engaged as Consultant for the following scope of work.

• Preparation of the Port Master Plan
• Design and Detailed Engineering Services for Phase I requirements like the Coal Terminal for the Power Plant and General Cargo
• Design and Detailed Engineering of the entire marine works and shore-based infrastructure for supporting the port operation.
• Future railway interface.
