Adani Petronet (Dahej) Port Pvt. Ltd. (APPPL): APPPL operates a port in Dahej in Gujarat state under sub-concession with Petronet LNG Ltd for handling dry bulk and break bulk cargoes in pursuance to the concession granted by Government of Gujarat.

HOWE has worked significantly on development on Dahej port from its beginning. HOWE as a project management consultant has carried out several activities on behalf of its client to complete the coal terminal in a cost effective manner. Presently the port has 2 berths with 17 meter draft having a capacity of 20 Million MT per annum.. The port handled 2.14 million MT of cargo in 2011-12.

Salient Features

• Two berth having length of 206 m & 219 m each & design to handle Panamax vessels (80,000 DWT)
• Berth is connected to backup yard with 2.4 km long approach bund
• Top side jetty equipment’s are mobile harbour cranes, mobile hoppers with conveying system 4200 TPH rated capacity
• Stacker / reclaimer – 2 nos : stacking capacity 4,200 TPH (rated) & reclaiming capacity 2,500 TPH (rated)
• Port conveyor system (length of conveyor approx. 5.5Km) : stacking stream@ 4200 TPH at 4.2 m/s & reclaiming stream @ 2,500 TPH at 4.2 m/s
• Port to silo conveyor (length of conveyor approx. 3.5 Km) Capacity – 5000 TPH and speed 7.5 m/s
• Silo capacity for coal 4000 tons
• Railway system
• Utilities such as firefighting & portable fire extinguishers system, dust suppression system, utility & O&M buildings
• Services such as water, power, control system communication and security
• Truck loading arrangements
