Development Of Container Terminal (Ct-4) At Mundra

APSEZL is developing south basin, adjacent to existing multipurpose terminal–I at Mundra Gujarat. South basin is planned for containers, liquid, LNG, automobiles and bulk cargo. The basin will be developed into phased manner. South port has been operational since 2012. HOWE has worked as project management consultant for this project includes from planning, engineering, estimation, commercial aspects, equipment, quality, construction supervision, contract admin at site etc.

Salient features:

• Terminal I Capacity – 1.25 Million TEU
• CT 4 650m X 53.67m Container Jetty with (-) 17,5m draft & having capacity to handle vessel of 20000 DWT in south basin situated west and contagious to existing CT-3 terminal.
• Development of 27.3 Ha of backup yard having 6503 TGS including reefers, drainage facility.
• Utilities include Workshop with 20t Crane, RTG wash area, 421 reefer plugs.
• Electrical works includes CSS with LT panels, High mast, RMU, 3 x1500 KVA DG set, Cabling & Termination in Yard.
• IT works includes terminal operating system, OFC Cabling, CCTV surveillance, IT & telecommunication networking.
• Port Operation Building is approximately 2000 Sqm consisting of G+ 3 floors.
• Equipment: 4 RMQC having outreach of 65m from rail cenetre & 12RTGs with 26.5 m span with low busbar system, 3 Nos reach stacker & 1 no empty handler
