Jetty Material Handling System Upgradation

Qatar Steel Company imports raw material for steel manufacturing through sea route via Jetty Material Handling System at Mesaieed Port, State of Qatar which required Upgradation due to increased production & major capacity expansion in progress. M/s HOWE India Pvt Ltd. (HOWE) was appointed as consultant for Jetty Material Handling System comprising of conveyor system extension and unloaders with higher capacity and outreach.

The services provided by HOWE comprised of the preparation of basic scheme for upgradation of material handling system, basic engineering, tender specifications and construction support for the following:

• Addition of New Unloader of 3000 TPH capacity or maximum allowable capacity with jetty civil structure strengthening
• extension of conveyor by about 250 meters to enable the duel berthing and discharging of Capsize and lighterage vessel
• Modification of the structure at the junction of A1 and A2 conveyor and extending the landside and seaside rails towards north for increasing the unloader travel towards north side
• Capacity upgradation of A1 & A2 belt conveyors from 2000TPH to 3000TPH.
